The Parlin-Ingersoll Public Library Board of Trustees convenes its monthly board meetings at 4 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month in the Board Room at the library. Members of the public are welcome to attend. Please call the library for further details or notification of any schedule changes.
Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
In accordance with 5 ILCS, Par. 140/1, Freedom of Information Act, the Parlin-Ingersoll Public Library shall make available for inspection or copying all public records, except as otherwise provided in Section 7 of this Act.
Persons may request public records at the library. Requestors are encouraged to submit requests in writing to the Executive Director at 205 W. Chestnut Street, Canton, IL 61520. Requests should be sufficiently detailed to identify documents sought to be examined or copied.
These documents include but are not limited to, the following: Minutes of the Board of Trustees meetings; Library policies (e.g. Personnel, Circulation, Materials Selection, etc.); Annual budgets and financial statements; and other official library documents.
In accordance with posting requirements, a brief description of the library and methods for requesting this information are posted at the 205 W. Chestnut Street facility.

Library Confidentiality Act
The circulation and registration records of library patrons are NOT available for public inspection, under the guidelines of the Library Records Confidentiality Act.
