Outdoor Day has been cancelled due to the rain. We will host a Lego Club in the program room instead. It starts today at 10:30 a.m. and lasts until 11:30 a.m.
Final swim party at Big Creek Park for readers who completed their summer reading goal of 12 hours or more. Parents and children swim for free. Congratulations readers!!
Parlin-Ingersoll Public Library is hosting a drone program by Dean Poignant. Mr. Poignant is a commercially licensed drone pilot. He will discuss purchasing drones, safety issues, and more. Weather permitting he will also demonstrate the use of a drone. No registration is required.
Parlin-Ingersoll Public Library, in partnership with Spoon River College, will present an informational program Monday, August 7 at 7:00 p.m. This program is presented by Rob Kirkham, Director of the Rushville Outreach Center. Monday, August 21, is solar eclipse fun day. The eclipse is scheduled to be in our area between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Attendees can bring their own lunch, experience the eclipse and participate in activities. Registration is required for this event. Please call the library at 647-0328 to sign up.
4th - 8th graders are welcome to join us during this special craft time. We will complete new projects each month. Crafting will be from 3:30-4:30 and then clean-up will be 4:30-4:45 each session. Crafters must register to participate as supplies are limited. Please call 647-0328 to register.
The library will be closed today so staff can participate in the Friendship Festival parade.
The 3rd Tuesday Book Club returns with two book selections. The group will be reading Japanese Lover by Isabelle Allende and The Wangs vs the World by Jade Chang. Come join us in the library program room starting at 6:45p.m. No registration is required.
