Joe Valentin – The Figure

Local author Joe Valentin will visit the library Tuesday, January 22, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. to talk about his experiences in self-publishing and the inspiration behind his story, The Figure.  Copies of Joe’s book will be available for purchase ($6.00) and signing at the event.  No registration required.

Sign Language Class

The library will be hosting a sign language class this January.  The sessions will be taught by local student, Taylor Tinsman, and will cover the alphabet, basic phrases and more.  Interested persons 5th grade through adult can register by calling the library at 647-0328.  Check our events calendar for dates and times.

Page Turners Book Club

The Page Turners Book Club will be meeting again in the new year.  The book club selection this time is Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.  The club meets Thursday evenings from 5:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. January 3 through January 31.  Please call 647-0328 to register.

Outreach Service

The library offers free Outreach Services to homebound residents within Canton city limits.  We deliver to nursing homes, retirement communities, and to anyone who can’t visit us personally.  If you or someone you know is interested in this service, please call 647-0328 to get signed up.

Notary Service Available

Parlin-Ingersoll Public Library can now notarize documents for the public.  We have three staff members who have trained to be a Notary Public.  We hope this service will give our patrons more options for completing their paperwork needs.  Appointments are recommended.  For more info, please call 647-0328.
